Searching Explained

There is every chance that you will find the person you are looking for with a Quick Search – below. However the principal access to Milestones Memories Register is through its Index.  To use the Index:

  • Click on the letter of the alphabet with which the surname of the subject of your enquiry begins. This will take you to a list of the surnames we have beginning with that letter.
  • Scroll to find the name of the person you seek. Clicking on it will take you to the Profile (or the Brief Profile if a recent registration.)
  •  If you find a person with an identical name to your subject, or if you get no result, then you may…
  • refine your search, using the sidebar, by entering where you believe the death may have taken place (remembering this could have been in a hospital or hospice not necessarily close to home) or by trying a location where your subject had lived or worked.

In the event that the death was a recent one the process of registering with us might be underway. This is usually brisk but can take a few days. You could check back a week hence or use the Contact form to ask us to let you know if we receive a registration.
