How do you find out whether the person you have in mind already has a Profile with us?

Answer: by checking the Milestones Memories Register which contains every Profile we hold. To search it follow these steps:

  • In the Index click on the letter of the alphabet with which the surname of the subject of your enquiry begins. This will take you to a list of the surnames we have beginning with that letter.
  • Scroll to find the name of the person you seek. Clicking on it will take you to the Profile of your subject, or a person with an identical name.  In this  latter event, or, if you get no result, then you may…
  • refine your search, using the sidebar, by entering where you believe the death may have taken place,
  • remembering this could have been in a hospital or hospice not necessarily close to home, or
  • by trying a location where your subject had lived or worked.
  • Or, try the  Quick Search or Journal forms below.

While the usual starting point will be the Index to Milestones Memories Register, if it is congested with popular names you might wish to use the Quick Search form where it is easy to try variants of spelling. Or you may know the date of the death in which case the Journal form is available. These two forms are below.

Tip

The usual search facility can be used  against location or to find  mentions in entries such as eulogies and obituaries of, for instance, a football club, a school, a work place, a hobby.
